Description
Description
The product is used to ensure correct margin seating of the prosthesis at the time of cementation. It is a handle based instrument with a dome extension that is to be positioned onto the central fossa of the tooth being cemented while the patient bites down onto its flat side. This exerts an apical force on the prosthesis with a single point of contact, thereby seating the crown in the correct axial direction and prevents the tipping forces encountered when biting on cotton rolls.
Additionally, it keeps the mouth slightly open which aids isolation and helps cleaning the excess. It comes as a pair for 1st & 3rd and 2nd and 4th quadrants respectively. The crown seaters with its carry case are autoclavable and thus reusable.
