Step 1: Choose the Correct Side – Select the right or left variant based on the treatment quadrant. These are mentioned on the tongue deflector.  

Step 2: Select Appropriate Size – Pick adult or pediatric based on the patient’s anatomy.  

Step 3: Prepare the Isolator- Slide the tongue deflector into the bite block slot.  

Step 4: Insert Gently – Place the bite block between the molars; ensure the tongue deflector curves inward.  

Step 5: Deflect the Tongue – Ask the patient to push the tongue into the deflector ensuring the tongue is effectively retracted without discomfort.
